31 Days of Being Where I Am: Day 31

Alright, I obviously did not blog for all 31 days this month. But this campaign at least got me thinking about blogging and what I can blog about. I think I have a new idea of what I would like to do and I might just give it a go in November. Why is it so hard to be consistent with blogging? I admire all those amazing bloggers who have great content and post consistently. They certainly keep me entertained and in awe...

31 Days of Being Where I Am: Day 20

running.

I have a love-hate relationship with it. If I'm in a groove and routine, its enjoybale and freeing. But once out of my routine, it takes a lot to get started again. Like now, I should be up to at least 6 miles with a half just 2 weeks away. Sadly, I'm at 2.5....

My goal for this half: Just start it...and try my bestest to finish. (I'm not prepared at all)

31 Days of Being Where I Am: BART

(Another catch-up post)
Bay Area Rapid Transit...

A lot has been and can be said about BART. I take it as my primary mode of transportation for my commute. Some days it makes me wish I had a job I could drive to in the comforts of my own car. Other days I appreciate that I can hop on and not worry.

You see and experience a lot of interesting (good and bad) things on BART. You see glimpse that humans are still kind and willing to help others. You also see d-bags who probably need a beatin' from their mama (who probably don't beat them which is why they are the way they are...).

There's also the entertaining... or amusing. For instance this guy I saw last Friday.

He was ushered on by a friend at embarcadero. Very inebriated. There were no seats, because by that station during commute hours its a miracle to find a seat. So he stood, then he started losing his footing and falling over. Finally, a few kind people gave up their seats and scooted to make room for him. He then proceeded to knock out in the position as pictured for the rest of the way (about 30 min). We get to Castro Valley and are held up, lo and behold, its because of our dear buddy. A passenger alerted the BART police to come check him out. Took a while for BART police to convince him to deboard the train -- he was one confused fellow! Not sure what happened to him, but probably for his good, he was not in a state to get in a car and drive.

That's it folks, have a great Friday! Hope I'll get a post in this weekend too

31 Days of Being Where I Am: Day 5-16 (catch-up)

Since I missed a few days... let's do a quick recap of what happened.

The hubs turned the big 3-0. Had dinner w/ the family and 3 cakes

(this picture is super fob)

...and a football get together the following day (which i have no pictures of except the aftermath)

Went to my first postseason game. Game 4 of ALDS. The green n gold were amazing. It was an amazing season.

Did a quick drop by to see the matsumoto's...and a sleeping lukey through his video monitor

Had some yummy blue bottle

Leave you all with one last picture of this cutie chubster

31 Days of Being Where I Am: Day 3

This will be a short post. More A's and more family today. Seems to be a theme this month.

Enjoying and growing in the circumstances and places I have been planted in.

31 Days of Being Where I Am: Day 2

Today was about family...in fact this week has been about family. My dad's siblings are all in town to celebrate my grandma's 96th birthday and what a fun time we have all been having.

Short but sweet post today. More to come...

31 Days of Being Where I Am: Day 1 (on day 2)

I came across this 31 day campaign on TheNester and thought it may be a good way to kickstart me back into blogging.

I picked "being where I am" as my topic for the 31 days, to better recognize and appreciate that God has placed me here in the now for His purpose.

For Day 1, it was learning to take advantage of opportunities that don't arise everyday -- Going to an A's game at the suggestion of the hubs. It was a fun, spontaneous date night at the ballpark.

The best part, the A's CLINCHED a playoff spot :D

(sorry for the blurry photo, but that is the mobfest after Balfour's 3 strikeout 9th inning)

We also ran into some fellow A's fan friends -- here's a post-victory photo

It was a much enjoyed night out at the park with some seriously great atmosphere.

Watching the A's this season and their "one game at a time" mantra/mentality is really reminding me to take each day at a time, each season at a time. Sometimes I want to rush out of the now and into the next, but I need to learn to slow down and be where I am. Just be.

That's Day 1, posted on Day 2...Day 2 post to come :)
